A lullaby is a soothing song usually sung to children before they go to sleep, with the intention of speeding that process. Lullabies can be found in every human culture and seem to have been used at least from the ancient period. In terms of pop music, famous lullabies include GOODNIGHT by THE BEATLES whos lyric emulates dreamy images and a comforting slumber.
